I am… failing.

I am in a classroom
But inverted

The other students
Are all at the front
While I sit at a desk
Surrounded by chalkboards

I am supposed
To look into their eyes
And know who they are
But all I remember
Are facts and figures

I look to My Father.

I see His face
But do not die

I realize
That is why
I don’t see people

They are snarks
Who might be boojums

If I see them
Feel them
Know them

I might lose myself
And softly and suddenly vanish away
Without even realizing it

I don’t want to die
Not like that

I look to Jesus.

He looks me in the eye
Stretches out His arms
On the cross
And says

“Like this”
