We must learn how to get our Lamb-Ons
If we are to defeat our Lions
For this is the hour
When giving up power
Frees us to conquer our Zions

12/28 Limericks: Kingdom of Leaven
StandardIf we want to inherit heaven
We must learn to recognize leaven
Each small compromise
That clouds up our eyes
Til we can’t tell cursin’ from blessin’
The reason we’re trapped by this thing
Is we have made comfort our king
My power ensures
My pain quickly cures
Regardless of Your suffering
So we must learn to face our hurt
To let Christ His Kingdom assert
As He heals our eyes
We soon recognize
Our crosses to crowns He’ll convert!
12/21 Limerick: Put On vs Off
StandardIf I understand Jesus right
We must be prepared for a fight
So put off delays
And put on His praise
So we become strong in His might!
11/27 Limericks: Mercy Through
StandardWhen I’m feeling frustrated by you
I’m tempted to just power through
It may be a sin
But that’s how I win:
You do what I want you to do
Yet mercy cries out from the cross
“Don’t gain from another one’s loss!”
As I feel your pain
My loss turns to gain
As Christ demonstrates Who is boss
11/26 Limerick: Enriched Flower
StandardIf we wish to channel God’s power
We must be willing to flower
I open my heart
So every deep part
Is enriched by heaven’s sweet shower
11/7 Limerick: In Significance
StandardIt hurts to feel small and alone
In a world where the rest seem at home
But be of good cheer
God’s kingdom is near
To children who kneel at His throne
10/31 Limerick: In Vulnerability
StandardThere’s power that comes in vulnerability
As losing my armor unleashes Thee
It may not feel safe
But I’m no helpless waif
For even my death brings me victory!
10/3 Limerick: Demo Words
StandardI like to hide behind words
Invoking past truths I have heard
So I can gain
Without facing pain
Things I have merely observed
Poem: Poor Choice
StandardWho in this world
Would choose to be poor
When glory and power
Grace those who have more?
Poem: Gospel Flywheel
StandardThe gospel flywheel
Transforms what’s real
Frees the world from sin
As I’m changed within
Weakly Knews
StandardThe power that I never knew
Is weakness revealing what’s true
For when I reach my end
The cross starts to mend
Those hearts that were broken in two!
8/1 RSVP: Buying Needles to Strain Camels (The Purpose of Wealth)
StandardMatthew 23:24 You blind guides! You strain out a gnat but swallow a camel.
This may sound bizarre, but see if you can follow my logic:
Continue readingLimerick: Powerfully Weak
StandardTo bring forth the change that we seek
We must become powerfully weak
For when we are empty
God gives us His plenty
Thus by our redemption Christ speaks
Mighty Weak
StandardOnly when we are weak
In ourselves
Can we be mighty
In Him
God brings us to the end
Of all that we trust
So Discipling by Him
Begins
Death Benefit
StandardChrist died to kill sin
So that we could become
One
With Him
In Him
For Him
Unearthly Power
StandardWe are so easily infatuated
And subtly captivated
By the powers of this world
The mimetic desires
At the heart of our communities
Even Christian ones Continue reading
Holy Hunger
StandardThe Holiest Hunger is
The Hunger for Holiness
There are many ways
To Hunger for God
All of them good
Most of them tainted
Mary’s Christmas: A Lament
StandardO God, why me?
Why does it have to be me?
Why did you have to choose me?
TGR-S3E4-OLD The Internet of Teams
StandardContinuing our discussion of the Biastes Co-Discipleship Network, our 1pm PST Tuesday, July 28, 2020 episode of The Great Reset proposes a radical new social architecture that aligns our solutions with human need, rather than vice versa.
Question
What would it take for us to become more effective at curing systemic inequity and relational brokenness?

StandardWe continue this Season’s focus on The Great Reset of Education at Tuesday 6/9, 1 PM Pacific. In particular, we are wrestling with hard questions of justice and repentance in light of the recent killing of George Floyd.
Question: How do we teach people where they need to repent?
- What should followers of Jesus condemn?
- What would that require us to tolerate?
Perspective:
- Judging others from a position of Power
- Judging behavior from a position of Authority
- Judging ourselves from a position of Vulnerability
