I am… heartbroken.

I have lost sight
Of all that I love

I have lost touch
With all that I am

I look around.

The pit I fell into
Is safe
Secure
Solitary

Filled
With swords and muskets
Scrolls and messages

All for self-defense

I look to My Father.

He says:

“Your vow of non-violence
Was never to protect others
But only yourself”

He opens my eyes.

I see
That I have spent my life
Hiding in this pit

Afraid of being seen

Afraid
Of being

My Father smiles.

“Now
That you finally
See clearly
You have become
Ready…”

“To rise up!”
