Has risen to the surface…

By being broken.

Everything
I thought was wrong
With the church
With the world
With me

Was just the water breaking
For new life
True life
Christ life
To emerge

I look for Jesus.

He is not
In the breaking

He
Is the breaking

That
Is the very thing
That holds us together

Jesus looks to me.

He says:

“Now
That you all
Have seen My Face
In each other’s brokeness
It is time…”

“To storm the gates of hell!”
