To My Father
With my two mothers
The serpent and the dove
The World and the Church

Who love me
And hate each other
With the best and worst
They have inside them

I look to the judge.

He looks at them
With love
Saying:

“The best part of them
Is the part
That loves you
More
Than they love themselves”

He turns grim.

Adding:

“The worst part of them
Is the part
That loves themselves
Less
Than they love you”

He bangs His hammer.

A door opens
Back into the house
I had left

He points a finger.

Not at me
Not at them

At the door
He has opened
While saying:

“The only way
They can be saved
Is if you lead them…”

“On the Way of Life!”
