Continued from Absolute Stillness

I am… ravaged.

Without the protection of my ego
The cross quickly does its work
And I die

But death
Is not the end
Just the beginning…

I am raised to new life.

No longer a warrior
Conquering with violence
By the strength of my arms

But a bride
Conquering with love
Through purity of heart

I look for Jesus.

Instead
I see a man
Dressed in white
Saying:

“He is not here
In the place of death
He is risen
And commands you
To seek Him out…”

“In the place you first met!”
