Continued from My Feet Firmly

I am… seated in heavenly places.

It took effort to climb the pole
Skill to walk out on the wire

But to sit here
Above it all
And simply watch
Requires balance
Trust
Patience

I look to My Father.

He sends angels
To cover me
With a mantle
Of comfort
As authority

Not vice versa.

I watch
As My Father
Cleanses Himself
Of His clownish disguise
And steps into the center ring
To take charge

He speaks a word.

The crowd goes silent
The angels sing
The world… shifts

I am so moved
I leap to my feet
Forgetting I am in midair…

And plummet to earth!
