Our clown car
Is moving faster
Than humanly possible

Which is only
To be expected
With My Father driving

I look to My Father.

“Excuse me”

I say
With trembling voice

“Why do we have to go so fast?”

My Father turns to me.

Which is not easy
When crammed
In a clown car

And says:

“We have
A delivery to make”

We turn into a hospital.

Drive through the doors
Into the elevator

Up
Up
Up…

To the maternity ward!
