I am… corrected.

I had thought
My job
Was to reach the star

My interpretation shifts.

That star’s light
Is the hole in God’s heart
Left by my absence
From His presence

Which can only be filled
By my heart
Returning to His

I do not need
To force my way there

I only need to stop
Resisting His gravity

I look for Jesus.

I say:

“How long
O Lord?”

He says:

“10”

I say:

“Ten what?”

He says…

“9…8…7…6…5…4…3…2…1…”

“Blastoff!”
