I am… elevated.

The royal messengers
And marginal outcasts
Gather around me

Or rather
The child that I carry

They build a booth
A platform
A shelter
Where we can see the stars
Without fearing the rain

I listen to the Spirit.

He tells me everything
That is going to happen
In a strange language
I do not understand

Yet His words…

Pierce my heart.

I drop to my knees
And ask:

“When is the time
That I will have ears to hear
What the Spirit
Has already said to me?”

He answers:

“You will know…”

“Before the rooster crows!”
