I am… heartless.

Jesus
Commanded my beloved
To cut my heart out

To save me
To save her
To save us

I look at her.

I had thought
Her heartless

But she
Was being obedient
And brave
At an unspeakably high cost

I look to Jesus.

He hands me
His heart
And says:

“You’re going to need this
Because …”

“Now we will fix everything!”
