I am… seen.

Somehow
The Jesus-inspired surgery
Replacing her mother’s feet
Brought me face to face
With my beloved

In a way
That dancing
And even terror
Did not

I look for Jesus.

He beckons me away
To a corner of the room

Her eyes
Follow me
As I follow Him

Jesus looks to me.

He sees me
Looking at her
And asks:

“Are you truly ready
To start loving her…”

“The way I love you?”
