I am… exhausted.

The square dance of Jesus
Wrings all the energy out of us

We end up together
More than once
But not for long

She is pleasant towards me
But reserved

Perhaps I am too

The dance ends.

We all collapse
On the floor
Giggling

She is near me
But facing away

I do not know
If she knows
I am here

I do not know
If she knows
What I want

I do not know
Myself
What I want

I look for Jesus.

He is pulling up
A hay cart
And says:

“Everyone
Jump in
For I will take you…”

“Where you need to go!”
