I am… puzzled.

I walk to the girl
Who is enmeshed
In the local culture
I have been given dominion over

And yet
Somehow
Chose to come with me

I look at her.

I do not speak
Her language

She can barely
Understand mine

We struggle with trust.

She confuses me
Because I cannot understand
Her purpose

I frighten her
Because she does
Understand mine

I look to My Father.

He says:

“You do not need
To understand
Anything other
Than that she is here…”

“For you!”
