I am… partitioned.

The blood of Jesus
Binds shards of me
To all the people in the world

Who love their friends
And hate their enemies
Dividing themselves from each other

And so too
Each part of me
That identifies with one of them

I look for Jesus.

He says:

“This
Is painful and sad
But not
A tragedy or mistake”

He kisses me.

I feel His love
Flowing through
Every part of me

Even those
That hate each other

He claps His hands.

The earth shakes
As He adds:

“This is why
My Body was broken
And yours was too
So we could all learn the joy…”

“…Of becoming one!”
