Today’s Most Important Challenge is…

  • Slowing down enough
  • To become healthy enough
  • So we can all move forward together

Immanuel Approach Memo

Continued from Lost One of Our Own

I am… offered up.

My friends
See me
In Christ
As Christ

Offered up
As a sacrifice
For their sins

They grieve deeply.

I am sad
To have caused them
Such pain

Or rather
To have induced them
To feel
The pain they have been avoiding

By exposing mine

I look for Jesus.

He is present
In every tear we shed

And every
Unresolved tension
We refuse to ignore

We look at Jesus.

We see
Ourselves in Him
Each other in Him
Him in us

And realize…

We are His brothers!

To be continued

Reflection

I feel…

  • Connected
  • Cruciform
  • Spectacular
  • Incarnate

Scripture

When the next day dawned, the people got up early, built an altar there, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings.
Then the Israelites asked one another, “Which tribe of Israel failed to appear in our assembly before Yahweh?”Under the terms of their solemn oath, whoever did not come before Yahweh at Mizpah should be put to death.
Even so, the Israelites had compassion for their brothers of the tribe of Benjamin and were grieved deeply over their loss. They lamented, “One of our tribes has been eliminated from Israel this day.”‬‬
