I am… welcomed.

My friends
Were acting out
Because they’d been homeless
For so long

They calmed down
Once they saw
Their pain was carried
In the scarred palms of Jesus

Allowing Him
To bring them
Bring us
Into His home

I look for Jesus.

He is meeting
With each of them
In their own room

Giving them space
To feel their pain
And be seen
And heard
And accepted

Then it is my turn.

Jesus opens His chest
Pulls out His heart
And places it in Me
And says:

“Go thou…”

“And do likewise!”
