Offense is when I have:
- Law enough to hate your sin, but not
- Grace enough to forgive it, because
- I haven’t forgiven the wounding within me, because
- I haven’t forgiven myself for allowing it, because
- I don’t believe God carries my pain.
The Turn of Grace
When I believe God carries my pain,
I can forgive myself.
When I forgive myself, I can forgive the wound.
When I forgive the wound, I can forgive you.
When I forgive you…
- Law and Grace are reconciled.
- I am reconciled to myself
- I am reconciled to God
- I am reconciled to you being who you are
- You can be reconciled to God
