The Good News is that reality is secretly on your side.
And everything you hated about yourself is actually a gift.

Immanuel Approach Memo
Continued from Serves as a Priest
I am… feeling ridiculous.
Jesus dressed me as a priest
Sent me into the city
To offer hope
To sinners like myself
My only consolation
Is that nobody here knows me
Or my backstory
Or so I think
Jesus points
And says:
“They are looking for you!”
I turn
With a sinking heart
And see five of my friends
From the old days
They must have overheard me
Explaining to the locals
How Jesus recruited me
I assume
They are relishing the opportunity
To mock me
So I am stunned
When instead I see…
Tears in their eyes!
To be continued
Reflection
I feel…
- Foolish
- Seen
- Assigned
- Relevant
- Empathy
Scripture
In those days there was no king in Israel, and the tribe of Dan sought a territory to settle in. They still had no place to call their own among the tribes of Israel. So the Danites sent out from Zorah and from Eshtaol five of their valiant men to spy out the land, telling them, “Go, explore the land.”
Judges 18:1-4 TPT
When they advanced to the hill country of Ephraim, they got as far as Micah’s house and camped near there. When they approached Micah’s house, they recognized the voice of the young Levite, so they went over to him and asked, “Why are you here? Who brought you here? What are you doing in this place?”
He replied, “Micah helped me. He hired me, and I’ve become his priest.”
