Angel Approach Memo
Continued from Seized Neither
I am… challenged.
The threatening Angel
Says he needs my permission
To send the lawless mercenaries home
Even if it kills them
I turn on him:
“Look!”
I say
“I’d like to help them out
But knowing you
There’s some ugly catch
And I’m not sure I trust you
Enough to grant a permission
I might later regret”
Angel nods.
“Fair enough”
He says
“Here’s the deal
Their hearts are corrupted
By years of lawless rebellion
The only cure
Is to cut out their hearts
With my double-edged sword
Which will kill them”
The mercenaries gasp.
But they don’t rebel
Or even look away
Angel continues:
“There’s only two ways
To give them a new heart
To raise them back to life
So they can go home”
He smiles grimly:
“Either you allow me
To break your Heart
Into pieces for them”
The he reverses the sword
And offers me the hilt
“Or you cut up mine!”
To be continued

Scripture
“Do you think you’re stronger than Moab’s king Balak son of Zippor? He never challenged Israel over disputed land, did he? Did he ever go to war against us?
Judges 11:25-28 TPT
For three hundred years, Israel has been living here and occupying Heshbon, Aroer, and the towns around them, and all the cities on the banks of the Arnon River. Why have you waited until now to try to take them back?
No, I have not wronged you; rather, you are doing me wrong by attacking me. Let Yahweh be the judge, and let him decide today which of us is right, Israel or Ammon.”
But the king of Ammon ignored Jephthah’s message.
