You keep praising.

I’ll keep working.

Today’s Most Important Challenge is…
- Wanting something so badly
- I dare not ask (or even think) about it
Angel Approach Memo
I am… wandering.
Riding on a donkey
From one village to the next
I don’t know where I am going
But am desperate to get there
The donkey stops.
I get frustrated
Impatient
Angry
I hurl abuse
At the mindless donkey
The donkey speaks.
His voice is soft
But hurt
And more confused than accusing
“Why are you rushing about
Instead of stopping to ask for directions?”
“Because nobody knows!”
I blurt out
“I’ve tried for years
And everyone either
Doesn’t understand the question
Or is too terrified to hear it”
The donkey looks at me.
“Maybe the problem
Is that you are asking humans”
I snarl:
“Do you think I should
Ask you instead
Because of your superior wisdom?”
He shakes his head.
“No
Though that would have been kinder
To both of us”
He points with his muzzle
Down the road
“I meant you should ask
That angel with a raised sword…”
“Waiting to kill you!”
To be continued
Reflection
I feel…
- Asinine
- Disoriented
- Shallow
- Foolish
- Saved
- Lucky to be alive
Scripture
After Abimelech died, Yahweh raised up a man of Issachar’s tribe to deliver Israel. His name was Tola son of Puah and grandson of Dodo. He lived in the village of Shamir in the highlands of Ephraim. He was Israel’s champion-deliverer for twenty-three years; then he died and was buried at Shamir.
Judges 10:1-5 TPT
After Tola, Yahweh raised up a man from Gilead whose name was Jair. He was Israel’s champion-deliverer for twenty-two years. He had thirty sons, who rode on thirty donkeys, and thirty villages belonged to them. These villages are in the region of Gilead and are called Jair’s Villages to this day. Jair died and was buried at Kamon.
