First know yourself.
Then others will know you.
Then you will know them.
Then they will remember who they are.

Today’s Most Important Challenge is…
- Breaking up with my current self
- So I can get to know my true(r) self
Immanuel Approach Memo
Continued from His Own Battles
I am… surrounded.
The cloud of dust
From the ruined stronghold
And shattered china
Attracted an enemy army
In my zeal
I had forgotten
That even corrupt institutions
Help bind us together
And that illusions of safety
Can be almost as useful
As the real thing
I look for Jesus.
His smile is grim
But His eyes
Are alight with a fiery joy
He says:
“Now is the time
For the temporary
To give way to the eternal”
He serves me the cup.
I stare into the depths
Knowing it is filled
With His blood
Shed for me
It is too precious.
A holy horror
Seizes me
How can I drink this?
But then I see our enemies
Crossing the river to fight us
And realize
There is no time for reflection
So I grasp the cup
Drink it down…
And am transformed!
To be continued
Reflection
I feel…
- Threatened
- Regret
- Unworthy
- Invited
Scripture
From then on, Gideon’s nickname was “Jerubbaal,” that is to say, “Let Baal contend against him,” because he broke down his altar.
Judges 6:32-34a TPT
Now all the Midianites, the Amalekites, and the people of the East formed an army. They crossed the Jordan and camped in the Valley of Jezreel to fight against Israel.
Then the Spirit of Yahweh clothed himself in Gideon and enveloped him!
