Continued from Fear Less Courage

I am… troubled.

My stomach is knotted
With an unholy tangle
Of fear, anger, shame and trauma
As I blink at the glowing apparition
That invaded my self-imposed prison

I shout:

“I am tired
Of all the ‘fear nots’
From those who are in denial
Or have secretly made peace
With the true enemy”

Having vented my spleen
I let out a sigh
Close my eyes
Take a deep breath
Then…

I listen for Jesus.

He says:

“I know
The world is confusing
Because all the tools
You use to make sense
Are part of the problem”

Jesus looks to me.

He whispers:

“Your conscious mind
Has all the right pieces
But the wrong connection”

He declares:

“It is time
For a reboot”

He breathes on me
And I…

Drop down dead!
