I am… listening.

My wife’s flame
Has burned up the shadow
That turned our enemies against us

Devoid of purpose
They stand in silence
Unsure of our intentions
Or their next move

I hear
A baby crying
A broken lullaby

I see
A dark suit of armor
With a green cloak

I listen for the Spirit.

He says:

“It is time to see
The true face of your enemy”

I advance closer.

My former enemies
Part ways
Around my monstrous form

My wife flies down
Out of curiosity

And watches
As I open the breastplate
To reveal…
