I am… commanded.
The President
Calls the four of us
Into his office
We are barely speaking
To each other
But we sullenly listen to him
He tells us
The enemy of our people
Is crossing the rivers
That guard our borders
This makes them vulnerable
To our unexpected attack
I listen for the Spirit.
The Spirit says:
“Yes
The time is right
To destroy the threats
That have undermined your security
But first…”
“You must stop fighting yourselves!”

One day she sent for Barak son of Abinoam from the city of Kedesh in Naphtali and said to him, “Yahweh, the God of Israel, commands you:
‘Go, deploy ten thousand men from the tribes of Naphtali and Zebulun, and march to Mount Tabor.
I will draw Sisera, the commander of Jabin’s army, to fight against you at the Kishon River.
He will have his many chariots and soldiers, but I will give you victory over him.’ ”
