Today’s Most Important Challenge is…
- Asking for in prayer
- What I could never obtain on my own
- Or would ruin if I did
Immanuel Approach Memo
Postscript to 2025-07-05 YAM: Nothing But (Covenant 25/25)
I am… walking down a city street.
By myself
I see people
Happy
Sad
Busy
Homeless
I walk on by
I see red.
Something glowing
In an alleyway
Like a hand mirror
With a ruby lens in its center
I pick it up…
I look for Jesus.
I see Him
In the mirror
I see myself
In the mirror
I see myself
In Him
I see Him
In myself
I go outside.
I raise the mirror
And look through it
I see inside people
Their joys and sorrows
I see Jesus
In them
I see myself
In them
It is too much.
This land
Is too full of people
And oppression
Including my own
I can’t function
With this much truth
Shattering my heart
I lower the mirror.
I feel a presence
Beside me
I turn
I see Jesus
His eyes are understanding.
He holds out His hand
I gratefully surrender
The Mirror of Seeing
He says:
“It’s okay
You don’t have to use it
All the time”
He grows stern.
“But
You must never forget
That what it shows you
Is the true reality”
And more gently:
“When reality seems scary
And you feel alone
Or confused
Remember that I have it
Ask…”
“And it shall be given you!”
The End?
Reflection
I feel…
- Humbled
- Overwhelmed
- Connected
- Divined
Scripture
After Ehud died, the Israelites returned to doing evil before the eyes of Yahweh, so he surrendered them to King Jabin of Canaan, who ruled from Hazor.
Judges 4:1-3 TPT
His army commander Sisera established his base in Harosheth of the Gentiles. Jabin had nine hundred chariots with iron-rimmed wheels, and he ruthlessly oppressed Israel for twenty years.
Then the Israelites, with shattered hearts, cried out to Yahweh for help.
