I am… trained.

The child has taught me
How to use my stony rigidity
As an asset
When fighting with a staff

He bows
And departs
Leaving behind
The Staff of Law
Planted in the ground

I look to My Father.

He nods
And says:

“This is your final test
To see if you can lift the Staff
Without destroying it
Or you”

I fall to my knees.

“Father
I have only learned
How to fight
And destroy

“How can I
Remove the Law from the Land
Without desecrating everything?”

My Father smiles
And replies:

“You have passed
The first part of the test…”

“By asking!”
