Hat tip to Thomas

We want Christ to be our all
But don’t want to let go
Of everything else

Inspired by Courage to Conquer

MIC Check

Today’s Most Important Challenge is…

  • Staying connected to Christ’s
  • Vision of me
  • While also to those
  • Who don’t share that vision

Yahweh Approach Memo

Continued from Champion Died

I am… struck.

The child of light
Sees my shapeless form
And without thinking
Taps me with the Staff of Law

I scream.

It burns away
All the corruption
I can see

It fuses
All the corruption I cannot see
Into bones
So I can walk

It hardens my skin
To protect those bones

I stand on my own two feet.

I am a giant
Among men
With stone skin
And stone bones
And stone heart

I follow the child
Out into the light
From which he came

I look to My Father.

I am surprised
That I can no longer
See myself in Him

I touch my face
And realize the ruby lenses
Have turned to quartz

My eyes
Work perfectly
Even better that before
But only see the surface of things

I cry out
For my lost connection
To all of reality

My Father comforts me.

“Take heart”

He says

“You will need this form
And these capabilities
And even this blindness…”

“To fulfill your quest!”

To be continued

Reflection

I feel…

  • Hardened
  • Disconnected
  • Driven
  • Led

Scripture

Over and over Yahweh tested Israel to see if they would faithfully walk in his ways, as their ancestors had done.
So Yahweh intentionally left pagan nations in the land instead of driving them all out at once, and he did not give Joshua the victory over them, nor did he drive them out after Joshua’s death.‭‭
