Hat tip to Thomas

Notice when I doubt
and exhort my heart to remember

Inspired by Courage to Conquer

MIC Check

Today’s Most Important Challenge is…

Yahweh Approach Memo

Continued from Sight of Yahweh.

I am… a Forestal.

My eyes are gone
Replaced by ruby lenses
From the Mirror of Seeing
Which showed me my true self
In the burning heart of God

I have exchanged
Mere human agency
For oneness with all creation
As its steward

I no longer fight
Against nature
Even my own

I no longer fight
Against nature
Even my own

Rather
I stand at the border
Of the desert
To preserve what is left
Of Eden’s garden

I do not know
How long I stand there

I look to My Father.

He says:

“Well done
Good and faithful servant
It was important
And necessary
To protect the garden
Against the desert”

He lowers His voice
And continues:

“But in so doing
You also protected
The desert
From the garden”

I start to weep
From my eyeless face
For reasons
I cannot articulate

My Father comforts me.

He murmurs:

“Take courage
My beloved
Look again
Into my heart
To see the glory
Of what comes next”

As I do
My feetless legs
Take root in the earth
My eyeless face
Stretches up to heaven

I become a tree.

The One Tree
The embodiment
Or perhaps even source
Of all Earthpower

I feel
All the agony
Of this world’s wounds
And all the ecstasy
Of the glory that awaits

Until my heart
And my wood…

Explode!

To be continued

Reflection

I feel…

  • Blinded
  • Rooted
  • Connected
  • Identified
  • Provoked
  • Destroyed

Scripture

“Israel deserted Yahweh, the God of their ancestors, who had rescued them from Egypt. They found new gods to worship—the gods of the people around them. They bowed down to them and provoked Yahweh to anger.”‬‬

‭‭Judges‬ ‭2‬:‭12‬ ‭TPT
