I am… sacrificing.

I place my white gold wedding ring
My most prized possession
And the enabler of wild magic
On the cairn I have raised
In the heart of The Land

I look to My Father.

He says:

“Well done
Good and faithful servant
It was essential
You carry it this far
But even more vital
That you let it go”

I fall to my knees.

I cry out:

“How can I save The Land
And protect those I love
If I give up all my power?”

The earth trembles.

At first
I am scared
Then I realize
It is My Father laughing

He says:

“That was never your job
It was always Mine!”

I absorb this.

I ask:

“Then what
Am I to do here?”

He says:

“Watch!”

And then…

Fire falls from heaven!
