With my friends

The ugly lies

Even when they hurt

The painful words
That spring from the lies
That they believe

This makes us irresistible.

One of us
Can free a thousand
Held captive
By lies

Two of us
Ten thousand

How is this
Even possible?

I look for Jesus.

I see a vision
Of His arms
Holding us
With nail-scarred hands

A hypergraph

Holding each one of us
Each pair of us
Every triplet
And so on

My vision flickers.

It becomes clear
He is the ultimate reality

We are each nodes
Is His mesh of love
That undergirds
All of creation

And like fluorine
Seeks an electron
When His vulnerability
Is exposed to the world…

Nothing can stop us!

Scripture

When Judah advanced, Yahweh gave them victory over the Canaanites and Perizzites, and they defeated ten thousand men at Bezek.
They encountered King Adoni-Bezek fleeing with his army on the battlefield. They pursued him, captured him, and defeated the Canaanites and Perizzites. Then they cut off Adoni-Bezek’s thumbs and big toes.
Adoni-Bezek confessed, “I once had seventy kings picking up scraps under my table with their thumbs and big toes cut off. Now God has paid me back for what I did to them!”
They took him captive to Jerusalem, where he died.‭‭
