In a galaxy far, far away…

Continued from Promised

I am… unbuilding.

I tear down the cross
I myself may have raised
So very long ago

I break it into logs
Sticks
Kindling
For a fire

Then
I ask my father and sister
To remove
The artificial hands
I used to manipulate the world
After they disarmed me

And throw them in
And light the flame

They obey.

The flames rise higher
Consuming
The work of my hands

We gather around
As night falls
Warming ourselves
In the inferno

I look to My heavenly Father.

He says
To my father:

“Place your hand
In the flames
To pull out
What remains”

My earthly father looks to me.

He smiles
And says:

“Thank you
For believing in me”

He removes the gauntlets
From his hands…

And puts them in the fire!
