I am… present.

Again

I shake my head
From where I apparently
Just collided with a bulkhead

I slowly realize
I am back on the ship
Fleeing from my family

I look for Jesus.

He’s back where He was
Perhaps always was
Grinning at me

“Welcome back”

He says:

“What do you want to do now?”

I look into my heart.

I realize
I had to die to myself
In my father’s past
So I could see
Jesus was with me

And them

So I need not fear.

I buckle in
Beside Jesus

“Turn around”

I respond
Because I realize…

It is time to face them!

The people responded enthusiastically:
