I am… stumbling.

I crawl out of the escape pod
Onto a jungle island
From my past

Across a steamy river
I see the warring tribes
My earthly father
Was born into

The savage weapons
And brutal tactics
He had to learn

The senseless battles
He had to fight
And win
So he could survive

So I could exist

I look for Jesus.

He is present
In the midst of the tribes
Thought they know Him not

Rejoicing
Weeping
Celebrating
Grieving

Jesus looks to me.

He knows
Why I have come
Though I do not

He raises His hand
Points to me
And says:

“Come!”
