I am… traveling through time.

I look back
And see my father’s ships
Chasing after me

I look to Jesus.

I ask:

“Why does he
hate me so much?”

Jesus smiles:

“He doesn’t hate you
He loves you so much
He is terrified of losing you
And lashes out
Hoping you will submit”

I am about to ask something…

Jesus evades.

I strike a bulkhead
Forgetting my question

Instead
I enquire:

“How we will escape them?”

Jesus grins
And replies

“We won’t…”

“They have to escape us!”
