Continued from Oath

I am… adrift.

The scroll in an unknown language
Floats on the river of my tears

I hold tightly to it
As I am swept toward the nations
God gave me as an inheritance

I look to My Father.

I realize
I could never have wept enough
To carry my giant body

Rather
My tears
Unlocked the tears of God
Which mingle with mine
In a mighty torrent

When I allow
My heart to break
I unite
With His diaphoric glory

I don’t have to work
I don’t even have to weep

I simply hold on
To the words He gave me
(Even the ones I don’t understand)

I relax.

While His passion carries me
Like a child in his mother’s arms

I drift
Off to sleep

Until
I am rudely awakened
By my feet
Scraping the ground

And a voice cries:

“You are here — finally!”
