I am… deconstructing.

I realize that my altar
Meant to honor
What Jesus has done
Has scared my tribe so much
They can not see
What He is doing now

So I unbuild it.

Brick by painful brick
I disassemble
What took me
So long to build

I look for Jesus.

He is watching me
My tribesmen are watching me

And I realize
This isn’t a sacrifice…

This is an opportunity!

I take each brick
And laboriously haul it
Next to Jesus

I build Him a platform
And when I am finished…

He rises up!
