I am… flattened.

The elders and I
Fall on our faces
As a throne
Appears from heaven
And descends into the city

Then a miracle occurs.

Instead of a conquering king
A small lamb
Jumps down from the throne
As it lands
In the center of the city

He runs over
And nestles against me

I sit up
As He jumps into my lap
And whispers:

“You will never be alone again!”
