Identity Exchange Memo
Continued from Guilt
From our broken bodies
Winged creature emergeToo small to see
Except
For the light they emit
I am… signaling.
This city
Lived in fear
Because for most of them
It isn’t their true home
As our enemies
Liberate our spirits
From our earthly identity
The people of the city…
See.
They see us
As we truly are
They see themselves
As they were meant to be
They see that love
Is stronger than death
So they don’t need
To live in alienation
Forever
Then a miracle occurs.
Their spirits
Also break free
Of the chains that bound them
Without violence
Or coercion
Their lights
Meet in the air
With the high priests
Of their true home
And once
We remind each other
Of who we truly are…
We invade!
To be continued
Reflection
I feel…
- Connected
- Identified
- Detraumatized
- Belonging
- Together
Scripture
While the people of Israel camped at Shiloh in the land of Canaan, the ancestral heads of the Levites went to Eleazar the priest, to Joshua son of Nun, and to the heads of the families of all of the tribes of Israel and said,
Joshua 21:1-3 TPT
“Yahweh instructed through Moses for you to give us cities to live in and pasturelands around the cities for our livestock.”
So the people of Israel obeyed Yahweh’s command and gave the Levites some of their cities and pasturelands from their inheritance.
