At my smallness
And impotence

And myself.

His skin
Is broken
His blood
Flows

It is ghastly
Nauseating
Glorious

Then a miracle occurs.

His blood
Becomes my blood
His flesh
My flesh

An ecstatic agony
Of becoming

I expand.

Bones shattering
Then extending

I stretch
Rupture
Reconnect
Repeat

I scream
Possibly
For joy

I pass out.

When I awake
I discover
I am as big
And as strong…

As a horse!
