The deep conviction hitting me is that our real center must be Christ Himself.
Everything else is just a way to posture ourselves for such an encounter (but can also distract from our need for that).

- Being obedient in the small
- So God can trust me with the large
Immanuel Approach Memo
Continued from Torn
I am… centered.
I thought I was leading my army
To where Jesus needed our help
But He was using them
To show me
I needed to center myself
On Him
And them
I look for Jesus.
He is writing in the dust
He stands up
And says:
“No longer
Will you be known
As The Earnest Redeemer
Driven to prove your sincerity”
He picks up a stone.
So does
The rest of my army
He writes something
On His stone
That nobody can see
And says:
“Today
You will receive
A new name”
And hurls the stone at me!
To be continued
Reflection
I feel…

- Disowned

Scripture
Joshua cried out, “O Lord Yahweh, why did you lead these people across the Jordan? To be defeated? To be killed by the Amorites? If only we had been content to stay on the other side of the Jordan!
Joshua 7:7-9 TPT
O Lord, what can I say now that Israel has retreated from its enemies? When the Canaanites and everyone else in the land hear about our defeat, they will gang up on us and wipe us off the face of the earth. And what then will you do about your great name?”
