Continued from Unfaithful

I am… marching.

We all are

I’m not sure where
We are going

I am no longer in control
Of my army
Jesus is

I look for Jesus.

He is not
Leading from the front

He is walking around
Making friends with my soldiers
Laughing
Crying
Getting to know them

Like I never did

I resent Jesus.

How come
He gets to have fun
While I do the hard work
Of keeping us on track?

Jesus looks to me.

He raises His hand
The army stops as one

He gestures to me
From the center of the army

I reluctantly
Give up my position
And walk back to Jesus

Jesus embraces me.

Saying:

“Good
Now
You are exactly
Where you are supposed to be!”
