Spirit Approach Memo
Continued from Commandeered
I am… confused.
The calm man who commandeered my car
Seems to be giving me random directions
So we are effectively driving in circles
Why did he bother disrupting my life
If he wasn’t in a hurry?
I listen for the Spirit.
He says:
“Ask”
So I glance at the man
And ask:
“Why did you choose me?
What do you want?”
The man smiles.
He says:
“I was waiting for you to ask
I have a tremendous gift for you
But you wouldn’t believe me
If I told you”
I reply:
“So show me”
He answers:
“Take three lefts…
“Then you will see!”
To be continued
Reflection
I feel…
- Confused
- Disoriented
- Delayed
- The weight of waiting
- Stalled
- Untrusting
Scripture
The people crossed the Jordan on the tenth day of the first month and camped at Gilgal, east of Jericho. They carried with them the twelve rocks taken from the Jordan, and Joshua set them up at Gilgal.
Joshua 4:19-24 NCV
Then he spoke to the Israelites: “In the future your children will ask you, ‘What do these rocks mean?’ Tell them,
‘Israel crossed the Jordan River on dry land. The Lord your God caused the water to stop flowing until you finished crossing it, just as the Lord did to the Red Sea. He stopped the water until we crossed it.
The Lord did this so all people would know he has great power and so you would always respect the Lord your God.’ ”
