I am… inverted.

In my upside-down world
The ground of Jesus
Holds my feet
While my head
Dangles in space

The weight
Of my ego
Stretches me
Like spaghetti

I look for Jesus.

I realize
He is most highly exalted
At my lowest depths

He longs to bring peace
At the exact point
Of my deepest anxiety

He keeps my feet
On solid ground
Out of pity
For my weakness

Until
I realize
I can trust Him

I say to Jesus.

“It’s okay
I am ready…”
