I am… splintering.

We no longer need
Windowpanes like me
In the throne room of Jesus

To let in light
To protect from weather

He is our light
He rules the weather

I feel His Spirit.

Bursting through my frame
Unseating me
Unlocking me
Releasing me

I fall to pieces
A million shards
Of super-dense glass
Melting into the earth

Relieving the tension
That held me together
Bound to the role
Christ had set me in

I turn to dust.

The warmth of His light
The breath of the Spirit
The embrace of the earth

Dissolve the bonds
Of my fused ego

I relax
Let go
And rest

I return to earth.

Everything
I was
Became
Wanted to be

Cycles back
To the stardust that made me

Enriched
Transformed
Deepened
By the journey

Fodder
For whatever
Whomever
Comes next

And that
Is also
My reward
