I am… spinning.

The weight of the gold
Crushed my atoms
Into neutrons

I am a pulsar
A celestial beacon
Shooting gamma rays
Across the universe

I look for Jesus.

He is Fred Astaire
I am Ginger Rogers
Spinning in His arms

We dance
Through the heavens

I don’t lead people
Exactly

I am a fixed point
One among many
That helps them find their way

That helps them know
Who they are
Where they are
How far they still need to go

I speed up.

Faster and faster
As Jesus spins me around

I start to approach
The limits
Of my cohesion

I am afraid
I will break up
With Him
Or just myself

He grins.

“This is where it gets good!”
