I am… stuck.

In a good way

My leap of faith
Up into thin air
Landed me on
An invisible stair

It clings to me
My one secure foot
While the rest of me gyrates

I should be grateful
Each step holds on tightly
Even though
It makes ascending more difficult

I look for Jesus.

He walks before me
Glowing footsteps
Showing me
What lies ahead

If I move faster
I might even reach the steps
Before they fade

Then again
I might fall
Or dangle helplessly

Also
If I go slower
It makes it easier
For those drawn
By the light of Jesus
To find the way
To the next step
