The weight of my sins
The pressure of society
The burden of responsibility
The gravity of relationships
The load of identity

Relentless
Inescapable
Crushing
Destroying

I cry out to My Father.

“‘My God, My God
Why have you forsaken me?”

My Father looks to me.

“My child
My precious, precious child
Have you forgotten
That though you are made of dust
You were created to be
Children of light?”

I surrender my spirit.

I allow the heat
To strip away the electrons
Of self-preservation

Exposing the naked nuclei
Of ego and beliefs
Contradiction and deception

They collide
Fuse
Transform
Emit

A mighty power
Surges from within me
As I hear My Father shout:

Let there be light!
