Continued from Relieved

I am… inhaling.

The fire from heaven
Melted my faceless face
Forming a new nose
To match the mouth, eyes, and ears
The Spirit gave me

My eyes are closed
From the splendor of light
But it smells wonderful
Like a freshwater garden
Instead of a Dead Sea

I open my eyes.

The wind and the waves
That overwhelmed my ears
Are gone

The fire
Breached the basin
That trapped the waters
Freeing it to rejoin the ocean

It turned the fresh water
Trapped underground
Into a spring of living water
Calmly refreshing the land

Plants and animals flourish there
And birds make their nests

But there are no people

I listen for the Spirit.

He says:

“They are waiting for a city
The city of God…”

“It’s time to build!”
