I am… bathed in light.

My eyes are opened
On my faceless faith
So my new mouth
Sees reasons to praise

For the first time
I know where I am
Floating peacefully
On an endless Dead Sea
Longing to live

I cry for the Spirit.

The sunlight… moves
It is too bright to look at
I close my new eyes
But I still feel it taking shape

The pressure eases
I open my eyes
I find myself
Floating to shore

I see
A figure of a man
Like liquid sunlight
Standing before me

He draws me out
Of the water
Cups his hands
Where my ears should be
And says:

“I AM…

Hear!”
